This is very good news for Tim Burton. Actually, it’s really good news for everyone at Disney.
Because we just can’t see Helena Bonham Carter pulling this one off.
There was a rumor floating around a few months ago that the acclaimed director, who just reworked the classic Alice in Wonderland,was now looking ahead to his next project and was hoping to castAngelina Jolie in the starring role.
And Angie is totally game!
When asked if she would consider playing the villain Maleficent in a reworked spin-off of Sleeping Beauty, Angie replied:
“I would love to. It’s all new and being discussed, but I loved her when I was a little girl. She was my favorite. Tim Burton, the chance to work with him would be extraordinary.”
Sounds like a yes to us! Everybody pull out their Hollywood schedules and lets make this work!
