Stellan Skarsgard is in talks to join the US remake of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

He’s slated to play Martin Vanger, one of the suspects involved in the 40-year-old disappearance of a teenage girl.

Skarsgard says:

“I have met (helmer David) Fincher, I want to work with him, he wants to work me. I have had a concrete offer and now we are in negotiations. The contract is for the period September to March, but I don’t know yet when I am supposed to start my part of the film.

“Most of it is to be shot in Stockholm, but some studio work will be done in the U.S. I think there might be some location work there as well, when it becomes too dark to shoot here.”

We dare you to name a more hard-working couple in the business than Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. They make a trillion dollars on the thousand or so movies they make a year and they have their hands in every humanitarian project imaginable. Add on the three dozen kids they have, and they are busy beyond busy.

So the idea of the couple being able to schedule a date night for themselves seems pretty unimaginable. Still, while being interviewed recently, Angie told sources that time spent alone with her kind of hubby holds them “together.” She explained:

“We actually schedule them (date nights). We just had one the other night and we went next door so we didn’t have to worry about the paparazzi and the kids didn’t know where we were. We have a house that has two sections so we go to the part that’s normally the studio and the office and just have dinner as a couple. If you can hold it together – which is hard these days and a lot of people separate – then you have to work at it, and you have to make that time when you are not Mom and Dad once in a while.”

Cool! There house has secret sections that they can get busy in! That’s when you know you’ve made it!

Just make sure none of the little ones can find their way in! Embarrassing!

Angelina Jolie starrer Salt is expected to garner $35 million through Sunday, but Inception is still edging ahead.

On Friday, Salt earned $12.7 million while Inception crept ahead with $13.2 million.

Some say that the two could be fighting it out for the top spot all weekend. And we are hoping Salt gets a big turnout because we’re gunning for a sequel.
