Kristen Stewart is like a herd of cats… but in a good way!

So says Jake Scott, the director of Welcome to the Rileys, an upcoming drama in which the Twilight Saga star portrays a downtrodden stripper. Asked about working with the actress by E! News, Scott replied:

“She’s very vulpine – very wolfish – and wily, kind of twitchy. Directing her is kind of like wrangling a herd of cats.”

Bella who?!? Kristen Stewart expands her resume in Welcome to the Rileys.

It sounds like the director means this in a complimentary manner, though, as he continued:

“[Kristen]‘s been playing this same character in – what? – two or three movies now, and that frustrates her. She wants to be taken seriously as an actress… she’s very proud of her work in this movie.”

The film centers around a couple, played by James Gandolfini and Melissa Leo, who has lost their daughter. In an attempt to recover from this pain, Gandolfini’s character befriends Stewart’s Mallory and attempts to turn her life around.

In a new interview with Great Britain’s The Daily Mirror, Robert Pattinson touches on a number of topics.

We’ll get to those momentarily, but first props must be given to the actor for calling out Courtney Love.

Asked about the rumor that he was up for the role of Kurt Cobain in an upcoming biopic, Pattinson said he never considered it – and then blasted Love for her negative remarks (when she referred to that possibility as “stupid”) in April.

“You see all these comments, like from Courtney Love, saying ’What the f*ck! He’s totally wrong for it’, and I’m like, ’I f*cking said no, you d*ck!’ I didn’t get offered it. For one thing, I’m too tall, and I can’t sing like him, I’m nothing like him!’ It’s ridiculous.”

You go, boy!

Pattinson was also asked about similarities to Edward, along with his next movie,Bel Ami. Excerpts from the interview follow:

On identifying with Edward: It’s changed a bit in this film. In the first two, I guess there was his feeling that you can’t relate to anyone, or no one can relate to you. I was like, ’I never want to talk to anyone’. I used to feel like that when I was younger. I’ve grown up now.

On his next role: There’s something fun about Bel Ami, going from Edward to some guy who pretty much abuses women to get money out of them. Edward so wouldn’t approve – and I thought that was a funny irony.

On other career aspirations: I want to produce a film. It would be so satisfying to turn up to work and not have to go into costume or make-up. You stand behind the monitor and don’t even have the responsibility of the director.

On Kristen Stewart: I can’t wait to marry her.

Ah, so this is why he showed up at the London premiere of Eclipse.

While we’re always happy to see the cute mug of Joe Jonas, we were perplexed by his presence at last month’s event. Turns out, he’s less a fan of The Twilight Saga in general than he is of a specific aspect of it:

Ashley Greene.

Sources tell OK! Weekly the two stars have grown close over the last few weeks, as they attended a King of Leon concert together recently and “there was definitely something going on, but it’s not serious,” says an insider.

Another source – who refers to Green as a “maneater” – says Joe is “smitten” with the actress, but the feelings aren’t exactly reciprocated: “I think he wants it to be more than she does right now.”

Jonas is coming off a break-up with Demi Lovato, while Greene has been linked romantically to guitarist Jared Followill. If these two ever did get together, they’d have solid nickname potential.

Gonas? Jeene? We could get behind either option

Xavier Samuel, or R-Patz 2.0 if you prefer, has reportedly starteddating former Miss Europe, Shermine Shahrivar.

The pair were spotted getting very “affectionate” while enjoying NYC over the weekend and the Eclipse star even brought Shermine along to the premiere of The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.

A handsome guy like that deserves someone equally as pretty and charming.

Awhile ago, reports surfaced saying that Robert Pattinson was in the running to play Kurt Cobain in a new biopic. C Love quickly shot down the rumors, saying it would be “stupid” and “just wrong” for the Twilight hunk to play the part. Seems like R-Patz doesn’tdisagree, but still is pissed at Courtney for making such a fuss.

R-Patz recently commented on the report, saying:

“I love Nirvana, but I love them a bit too much – I’d be embarrassed [to play Kurt Cobain]. I didn’t get offered it. For one thing, I’m too tall, and I can’t sing like him, I’m nothing like him. It’s ridiculous … You see all these comments, like from Courtney Love, saying, ‘What the fuck! He’s totally wrong for it’, and I’m like, ‘I fucking said no, you dick!”

Hell yes! Catfight between the palest bitches in Hollywood!

We actually thought he would have been a decent Cobain. Once you get past the Twilight shiz, he is a pretty decent actor. And Courtney girl, do you have something against making millions of dollars??? His sweet face and tousled hair bring in the big $$$!

We’re very sorry to report this, Twihards, but Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are “at war” with each other.

The reason? Rob’s alleged inappropriate behavior with co-star Anna Kendrick, which was caught on camera and over which Kristen confronted her man – on the red carpet of the Eclipse premiere!

Somehow – despite the presence of nearly every magazine, newspaper and cameraman in the country at the event – the only publication to notice this “breakdown” was random Australian rag Famous. But, hey, it must be true.

Just like Jessica Simpson’s confirmed pregnancy, tabloids don’t just make up cover stories out of thin air, do they?

Pattinson and Stewart looked quite happy and cozy when they surprised Eclipsefans in Los Angeles Monday night. Could that all have been an act?!?

As pictured below, the couple was also spotted at Hotel Café in Hollywood yesterday, attending a Sam Bradley concert.

Rob does look especially somber, but we’re gonna chalk that up to paparazzi invading his personal space, not pointy, imaginary love triangles stabbing him in the heart…

Angelina Jolie opened up to Parade Magazine about her life with partner Brad Pitt, their 6 children and her notoriously rebellious past in Hollywood.

Here are some HIGHlights:

On her relationship with Brad:

“The children certainly tie us together, but a relationship won’t hold if it’s only about the kids. You also must be really interested in each other and have a really, really wonderful, exciting time together. We do. Brad and I love being together. We enjoy it. We need it, and we always find that special time. We stay connected. We talk about it. It’s very important.

“If Brad and I are strong and happy, then our kids have happy parents, and that’s the best thing we can give them. Brad knows me completely, exactly as I am, every part of me. He loves me. The kids love me. They know all my flaws and all my oddities. And they accept them. And so I can feel complete.”

On being in love:

“I feel sad for someone who has never known love. Love elevates. You know, Brad would joke about me having this conversation about love. Love? It’s such a funny word. On her past:

“I used to cut myself or jump out of airplanes, trying to find something new to push up against because sometimes everything else felt too easy. I was searching for something deeper, something more. On her home life:

“There’s never a period when Brad and I are pulled apart. We are not separated for more than three days, ever. We stay really connected. We actually don’t go out much. It’s funny. We’re very homebound. We’re very much Mommy and Daddy in our pajamas.“

Hey, everyone needs a day job!

British-born Eclipse vamp Charlie Bewley made his major film debut in the Twilight Saga but in the meantime, he held down a bunch of odd jobs to make ends meet, the most interesting of which was being a stripper pole salesman!

While on the promotional train for Eclipse, Charlie talked about his former career path and admitted that he was simply hoping to follow in his father’s footsteps, who was also a salesman. Charlie explained:

“I can’t remember at exactly at what point I sort of pulled away from that whole thing, but it just never resonated within me that that was something that I wanted to do.”

We could see that. Certainly starring alongside Dakota Fanning in a blockbuster flick or two is more lucrative. Oh, but the stories you must have! Did you ever demonstrate the merchandise, bb?

20th Century Fox has their eye on Taylor Lautner to star in X-Men: First Class!

The studio has checked the actor’s availability before offering theTwilight hunk a role.

James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender have already been tapped to play Professor X and Magneto in the film that’s expected to start shooting this summer.

The targeted release date is June 3, 2011.

We think Taylor would be a fool to pass this up — the X-Menfranchise is huge and we think he’s perfect for it!

A little time for the fans and a little time for lurve!

We reported earlier about Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewartsurprising some ecstatic fans in El Lay yesterday when they showed up to say hello at a screening of Eclipse.

That was fun for the Twi-Hards, but we are far more interested in what happened AFTER they left the theater.

According to sources, Robsten was spotted at the SoHo House inWest Hollywood, settling in for some dinner and drinks. Witnesses claim that the Twilight couple was ushered through a private underground entrance and seemed “very happy” together, smiling and enjoying the penthouse view of L.A. When dinner was over, they left together.

The most shocking thing about that story – KStew smiling! Why does she hide it from the rest of us???

We mean this with all due respect, but perhaps Kristen Stewart should quit acting. She really doesn’t seem to enjoy the spotlight, does she?

Aside from making inappropriate comments (such as comparing the paparazzi to rapists, which she quickly apologized for), the actress comes across as painfullyawkward in interviews. It’s refreshing, but it’s also just strange.

Now, in an interview with British magazine Hello!, Stewart admits that she has serious fear of fame. Especially fame at the level she’s achieved.

“I don’t feel very comfortable on the red carpet,” she said. “I look out there at a thousand people and I realize they could rush me and assassinate me. No security could protect me. Ostensibly they’re fans, but I think about them turning on me.”

Kristen says she “struggles to keep myself from crying” during public appearances and shows many signs of social anxiety disorder, a legitimate phobia that is triggered by perceived scrutiny from those around you.

There is good news for Stewart: at least she can go home and have Robert Pattinson hold her tightly every evening.

Last night was the U.K. premiere for the already wildly successful Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Fans camped out for two days waiting to see their favorite vamps and werewolves stroll down the red carpet, but they never came.

Oh sure, Ashley Greene was there. And Nikki Reed. And Kellan Lutz! But the Holy Trinity Of Twilight? No shows!

Now, we know that R-Patz was filming Water for Elephants yesterday, KStew’s gearing up for her next movie and Tay Tay was taking out the garbagefor his mom, but that knowledge didn’t stop U.K. fans from raging on when they learned their idols weren’t coming.

Fans on the carpet screamed and protested, saying they were “gutted” and “absolutely devastated” that the trio didn’t come. Most of the anger was directed towards R-Patz, as one fan pointed out, he’s “British!”

Can’t please everyone, we guess! You all will just have to settle watching the movie about 100 or so times to make those feelings of abandonment go away.
