“Public Transportation is really good in Sweden” is from here on bullshit! What the fuck, I was so freaking tired this morning thanks to a SMALL delay.
After my acting class yesterday I was going to take the train home, just like any other Tuesday evening. I did, the train was arriving to the train station right on time like it usually does. I have always been a defender of the public transportation in Stockholm. I know that problems get solved quickly and that they always work as fast as they can. But after the shitty things that happened yesterday I’m scared and freaked out about delays.
When I was one station away from the one that I get of at it said that the train was 1 minute late, but that’s nothing, 60 seconds. What can I do in 60 seconds? Not much. But when we had to stop because of a red light the minutes just disappeared. I called my mom and asked her if she could pick me up because the train was going to be more than 5 minutes late, which means that I was going to miss the bus. The train started moving but stopped again in between the two stations. All I could think of was “Why is this happening?”, “How long are we going to stand here?”, “I could walk home faster than this”.
I probably was right. When the train had been standing still for 1 hour and 30 minutes I was starting to get cold and upset about the delay. They told us that the electricity cable that runs the train was down, so we couldn’t go back to the station that we came from and we couldn’t go forward. 30 minutes later they told us that a car fell of the bridge and that ALL the cables where down.
Three hours later my mom picked me up in the middle of nowhere. They had finally secured the railway track.
Fuck public transportation!
