Angelina Jolie starrer Salt is expected to garner $35 million through Sunday, but Inception is still edging ahead.

On Friday, Salt earned $12.7 million while Inception crept ahead with $13.2 million.

Some say that the two could be fighting it out for the top spot all weekend. And we are hoping Salt gets a big turnout because we’re gunning for a sequel.

We’ll take all the Angie we can get!

We have a feeling it’s going to be the biggest movie of the summer!

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse had a fairly impressive showing at the box-office yesterday. On its first day of release, Eclipse pulled in $65 million, which makes it the highest-grossing Wednesday opening film in history! (Sorry Transformers 2!)

However, the flick couldn’t beat its predecessor’s record for opening day sales. New Moon continues to hold strong as having the largest movie opening day with $72 million.

That just leaves the weekend! What kind of astronomical numbers will they pull in there???

Enough to be #1, no doubt!

Not a big surprise considering the devotion of the Twi-hards!

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse was booked in a record 4,416 theaters for its release today beating Iron Man 2′s record of 4,380 theaters.

New Moon currently leads the box office charts for best opening day with $72.7 million, but will Eclipse beat that record, too?
