Rumor has it that actor Lee Pace is very close to snagging a role inBreaking Dawn as Edward Cullen’s vampire BFF Garrett!

The character is described as “a tall, nomadic vampire with sandy hair that he keeps tied back with a leather thong” and “down-to-earth, laid-back, rugged and having a lightness and element of humor about him.”

We think he’s a solid choice!

Eclipse is right around the corner, but The Twilight Saga has no end in sight.

After months and months of speculation and one major salary dispute, Summit Entertainment announced last night that the final installment of The Twilight Saga is getting the Harry Potter treatment.

Breaking Dawn will split into two movies, the first arriving in theaters November 2011.

Both installments will be directed by Bill Condon!

The Cullen family is finally getting their evil vamp on in the upcoming movie, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Peter Facinelli who playsCarlisle Cullen says that “this time around, you get to see their true vampire-ness.”

Ashley Greene, who usually plays the sweet and bubbly sister to R-Patz‘s Edward Cullen talks about how her character will have a darker side, saying, “Alice gets a little edgier with each installment. It’s a reminder to the audience that even though we restrain ourselves at times, we’re still vampires and we’re dangerous.”

Esme Cullen, played by Elizabeth Reaser will have a bigger role in this installment. “It was interesting to get in touch with the vampire side of her in ways that haven’t really been explored. Her family is in danger and that brings out the mama bear in her.”

Dreamgirls director Bill Condon is reportedly “in negotiations” with Summit Entertainment to direct the upcoming Twilight flick, which the studio has announced they will split into two parts.

The DVD release of New Moon has already sold over 4 million units just in the first weekend out in stores!

New Moon beat Twilight when it was released last year selling 3.8 million DVDs.

We can only imagine what will happen with the next 2 (or 3 if they end up splitting the last book)! Plus you KNOW there will be a complete special edition set eventually!
