Stephenie Meyer, the mastermind that spawned The Twilight Sagaand gave The Holy Trinity their careers, has a lot to celebrate this week. Not only is the third movie based on her third book poised to smash the box-office this week, but her latest addition to the Twilightcollection, The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner, has sold over 1 million copies in under a month!

Meyer’s publisher, Little, Brown Books for Young Readers said this morning that the book now ranks as the year’s best-selling literature so far in the U.S.

We hope this has proved something to you, Stephenie. Time to get back to writing more tales of sparkling vampires. No need for it be any good. Just make sure there is some sparkling and Volvos and a lot of Edward Cullen. Twi-Hards will buy a zillion copies!

Stephenie Meyer, author of the sparkly vampire franchise, is milking her ca$h cow releasing a novella based in the Twilight universe.

The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner apparently revolves around a vampire featured in Eclipse, and will hit the shelves on June 5!

We wonder if this mess will feature as many possessive, supernatural boyfriends as in the original series!!
