Stephenie Meyer, the mastermind that spawned The Twilight Sagaand gave The Holy Trinity their careers, has a lot to celebrate this week. Not only is the third movie based on her third book poised to smash the box-office this week, but her latest addition to the Twilightcollection, The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner, has sold over 1 million copies in under a month!
Meyer’s publisher, Little, Brown Books for Young Readers said this morning that the book now ranks as the year’s best-selling literature so far in the U.S.
We hope this has proved something to you, Stephenie. Time to get back to writing more tales of sparkling vampires. No need for it be any good. Just make sure there is some sparkling and Volvos and a lot of Edward Cullen. Twi-Hards will buy a zillion copies!

Genealogists, who apparently have nothing better to do than research the lineage of a vampire movie star, have discovered thatTwilight hunk Robert Pattinson is related to Vlad the Impaler, the person widely considered the inspiration for in Bram Stoker’sDracula.
That’s right! He’s related to freakin’ Dracula!
Let’s break it down, courtesy of the Twi-Hards “researchers” at Ancestry.com:
So, R-Patz and Vlad III Dracula are connected through their relationship to the British royal family. In a minuscule way, R-Patz is a distant cousin to both Prince William and Prince Harry; Dracula was their distant uncle.
And there you go!
And guess what, Twi-Hards? Not only is R-Patz related to a vampire, but so is the Twilight creator, Stephenie Meyer.

In a UK press conference this afternoon, The Twilight Saga: Eclipsestar, Kellan Lutz, has revealed that he has been handcuffed a time or two.
And it’s not by his girlfriend AnnaLynne McCord either! (or at least he’s not fessing up to it- ha!)
The hottie admitted, “Once I was signing an autograph for Twilight and a fan asked if she could take me home. I was like ‘Yeah just hand me your paper to be autographed’ and she yanked out some big old handcuffs and I was like ‘OH!’”
And then it happened AGAIN!
While he was doing the New Moon circuit, a fan “pulled out some fuzzy handcuffs then she undid her jacket and she had a very nice little number on.”
As seksi as he is, he’s bound to get some crazy fans.

Sparkly Vampire extraordinare Robert Pattinson has recently come forward to address the heinous and insensitive statement his co-star, Kristen Stewart, made comparing her celebrity status to rape, and tries to pin the blame of her fuck-up on bloggers!
He says:
None of those associations came out and gave a statement [criticizing Kristen] without being called upon by the media first — who were doing it specifically to get hits on their websites. That whole system of Internet journalists, where no one is called to account, is almost entirely about hate. All these people get away with doing it because they have no responsibility to anyone. All they need is to get a salacious headline and people click on it, because it’s easy. And it’s quite good being part of theseTwilight films because you have to give so many interviews all the time, you can defend yourself. That’s the only way. All of us stick together, as well. There are so many little nerds behind their computers, on their little blogs.
Sorry, bb, not so!

The film hasn’t even made it through opening day and it’s already breaking records!
The previous record – $26.3 million – from midnight showings was set by New Moon back in November.
Will Eclipse take the reigns of the Twilight Saga and steal New Moon‘s record for best opening day of $72.7 million?
