This is so sad!
16-year-old Abby Sunderland is lost at sea somewhere in the IndianOcean
during her attempt to become the youngest sailor to circumnavigate the globe!
She was reported missing today after her family lost contact with her. Abby manually set off two emergency beacons around 9 a.m. according to her mother and then her parents lost satellite phone contact with her.
“Everything seemed to be under control,” said her father Laurence Sunderland. “But then our call dropped and a hour later the Coast Guard called.”
How awful!
We hope she’s found soon — and safely!
